About this concert
ROCK THE YARD CANYON is featuring QUEENSRŸCHE, Stephen Pearcy of RATT, Slaughter, and Steven Adler Band of Guns N' Roses Live at The Lumberyard in Canyon, Texas on September 14th. This will be an outdoor show on the First United Bank Stage! QUEENSRŸCHE In April 2022, QUEENSRŸCHE finished a five-week North American tour supporting metal gods Judas Priest. That tour wasn’t merely a fiery return to the stage for QUEENSRŸCHE after a two-year pandemic: it was a rejuvenation. The sound of a band locked-in and firing on all cylinders. “The Priest tour was a great springboard for us to get back onstage in what’s essentially a new world,” says founding guitarist Michael Wilton. “We had so much momentum going off of our last record [2019’s The Verdict] and then, the world, our business, came to a grinding halt. We had to survive, pick ourselves up and get back to being QUEENSRŸCHE.” Now, their legacy has coalesced into another career milestone for the Bellevue, Washington borne band with the release of their 16th studio album, Digital Noise Alliance. Stephen Pearcy of RATT As the founder, lead singer and songwriter of the metal rock band RATT, Stephen Pearcy is credited with having been a pioneer of the early 80's Sunset Strip rock scene. Having led his creation to Mega Multi- Platinum Success Year after Year from 1984 to 1991. Capturing critical acclaim for his performances, style and uniquely salacious vocals. Pearcy formed RATT in Los Angeles in 1982 from his previous band Mickey RATT. Known for their overtly sexual appearance, rebellious attitude and take no prisoner approach to metal, Atlantic Records recognized RATT’s potential and star power thus signing the band to a contract resulting in the 1984 album “Out of the Cellar”, which became one of many multi-platinum successes. RATT climbed up the charts with singles from “Out of the Cellar”, soaring past Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy”, Van Halen’s “Panama”, Madonna’s “Borderline” and David Bowies “Blue Jean”. SLAUGHTER For the past decade SLAUGHTER has continued to tour, performing 40 - 50 shows per year at casinos, fairs, festivals and biker rallies all across the US to record breaking audiences. SLAUGHTERs have furthermore enjoyed successful festival shows in Sweden, Japan, Mexico & Germany. SLAUGHTER has shown that with perseverance and sheer talent, a band can survive and win over the support of fans, regardless of what others may say about the quality of their music. What's most important is that their music is still here and the vast majority of critics who panned them in the past are not, and that's as good as gold. Here's to "SLAUGHTER"………. Here's to 30 YEARS of Rock n Roll and the Love Of Music and the Love Of Life…….. Steven Adler Band of GUNS N' Roses Steven Adler, best known as the founding drummer of “GUNS N’ ROSES”, one of the most influential, groundbreaking hard rock bands to emerge from the late-80′s L.A. hard rock scene, has returned to pick up where he left off with his re-energized line up of musicians. Ratt Biography
As the story goes, RATT helped pioneer Hollywood’s legendary Sunset Strip sound and scene in the 1980's. Created by lead singer songwriter Stephen Pearcy 1982.
Pearcy regrouped with friend Robbin Crosby (also from San Diego) then changed the name of his band to RATT. The band rehearsed and played the clubs in and around L.A. for over a year.
They soon recorded and released their own six song E.P. RATT in 1983. Their single, "You Think Your Tough", (Pearcy/Crosby) the song became a staple on local L.A. radio stations KMET and KLOS. RATT EP sold well over 100,000 copies.
RATT was a headliner and selling out local shows. They found themselves opening a show for ZZ Top. The band was called back onstage. RATT was on a roll.
Signed to Atlantic Records in 1984 the band’s debut album "Out of the Cellar" (Warren De Martini, Stephen Pearcy, Bobby Blotzer, Robbin Crosby and Juan Croucier) went over 3x Platinum in 1984 behind the hit single "Round & Round", "Back for More" and "Wanted Man". RATT would tour with Billy Squire and Ozzy Osbourne before going on to headline their own arena tours around the globe. World infestation had begun.
Since 1983 to present the band has sold in excess of (15) million records in the US alone. Their first (4) records went Platinum plus and the arenas concerts were selling out.
RATT released (2) records, Collage in 1997 and RATT 1999 before their latest "Infestation in 2010".
They also released the Best of CD Tell the World: The Very Best of Ratt and their 3rd long form DVD, RATT Videos from the Cellar: The Atlantic Years.
This year 2013 Rhino/Warner Music Group recently released RATT "Original Album Series, a (5) album box set with the albums "Out of the Cellar' thru "Detonator" for the rabid RATT fans to have something to sink their teeth into.
RATT signed to RoadRunner/Loud & Proud for 2010 "Infestation". Infestation was a return to form for RATT.
2018 finds RATT continuing to rock the world, performing their mega hits from their storied catalog.
