ABOUT ANGEL:
Employing a dazzling mix of glam rock, hard rock, and progressive rock, Angel's outrageous, white-satin-heavy image and equally over-the-top stage shows, made them one of the more colorful arena rock bands of the mid-'70s and early '80s. Discovered by Kiss bass player Gene Simmons, the group issued their eponymous debut album in 1975, which hewed closer to prog rock than the glam pop that would inform future endeavors like On Earth as It Is in Heaven(1977) and Sinful (1979). The group went their separate ways in 1981, but re-formed in the late '90s with a new lineup, and released two studio albums (1999's In the Beginning and 2019's Risen) and numerous compilations.
Formed in Washington, D.C., the group's self-titled 1975 debut was recorded for the flamboyant Casablanca Records label -- home to Kiss -- with a line-up comprising Frank DiMino (vocals), Punky Meadows (guitar, ex-BUX), Gregg Giuffria (keyboards), Mickie Jones (bass, ex-BUX), and Barry Brandt (drums). A heady slab of heavy pomp rock with lengthy songs swathed in Giuffria's atmospheric keyboards and featuring the longtime stage favorite "Tower," it was followed in 1976 by Helluva Band, which continued in a similar vein, with the group's famous white satin stage clothing making its debut on the album sleeve. On Earth as It Is in Heaven saw a distinct change in musical direction, as the band adopted a a more pop/rock-oriented sound, and introduced a clever logo that read identically when upside down.
The newly reactivated Angel consists of Punky Meadows and Frank DiMino joined by Danny Farrow, Steve E. Ojane, Billy Orrico, and Charlie Calv.
ABOUT DIANTHUS:
Dianthus is a progressive metal band with twin sisters, Jessica and Jackie Parry.
The synergistic sound and seemingly-telepathic energy behind Dianthus can be traced to their beginnings in the heart of Riverside, California. Inspired by the perennial flower, these twin sisters bring forth delicate, yet dominant voices to the rock scene. An early upbringing in classical piano led them to begin creating music together at a young age. Not long after, they were captivated by heavier genres. The two enhanced their musical palettes with the addition of drums and electric guitar. Since forming, Dianthus has gained the likes of well-respected musicians such as Matt Sorum (Guns ‘N Roses/Velvet Revolver/Hollywood Vampires/The Cult) and Jeremy ‘Jinxx’ Ferguson (Black Veil Brides). The band was recognized in their city and were bestowed the “Riverside Pride Success Award”, presented by the Riverside Mayor and City Council.
Record Label: Deko Entertainment (ADA/Warner).

Dianthvs Biography
Moody metal with twin sisters...
“Twins in a metal band” is just half of what Dianthvs is. The band is a real project that is as rare as the twinship. Fraternal twin sisters, Jessica and Jackie Parry founded the band in their hometown of Riverside, California in the midsummer of 2015. The sound of Dianthvs developed from the twins’ early experience in classical piano and combines a myriad of other musical styles including progressive rock and heavy metal. The band name “Dianthvs” stems from the symbolism behind the flower itself, representing the band’s femininity and edge.
Together, Jackie (lead vocals/guitars/piano/synthesizers) and Jessica (backing vocals/drums/piano/synthesizers) have written and released two full-length studio albums, “Worth Living For” and “Realms”. Their recent single, "Alive in the Moonlight" is also out now! Watch the official music video for it on YouTube!

The band used to function under the name "Dianthus", but recently rebranded to "Dianthvs" to distinguish themselves further from the perennial flower on search engines and other artists with the same name on streaming platforms.
