It had been WAAAAY too long - but Atomic Tom put on a charged performance and unveiling a couple of songs on their upcoming album to a packed house at the Mercury Lounge. Even though it has been a while, Frontman Luke White and the boys didn't miss a beat with their pop rock melodies leaving the crowd wanting more. Mercury Lounge is a small club in NYC Chinatown area that caters to indie bands. Operations were efficient and the venue is solid although the sound system appears to be just ok.

Atomic Tom Biography

Born in Brooklyn amidst a resurgence of New York-based rock bands like Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs! and the Strokes, Atomic Tom recorded their debut album The Moment in a 3rd floor apartment with microphones in the bathtub and amps piled high in a closet.

Atomic Tom caught the attention of Republic Records and signed a deal following a sold out Arlene’s Grocery residency. After the album release was delayed, Atomic Tom took their career back by filming their iPhone performance of “Take Me Out” on the B Train, their performance racked up 2 million views in less than a week. The stunt propelled Atomic Tom on a year long tornado that included performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, George Lopez Tonight!, Rachel Ray, CNN, E! and others.

After three years and a departure from their label, ERA was independently released in 2015. “Someone to Love” was featured on the New Music Friday, Alt-Good and Chill playlists. Atomic Tom are back in the studio working their way through new songs.
