Moses the Marauder Biography

Brookly-based rapper Moses The Marauder’s music breathes new life into classic sounds. His music, which blends elements of jazz rap, hard-core hip-hop, and traditional, puritan Brooklynite boom-bap, has captured a dedicated following behind his “Stoop City” concert series which he books and throws with his events company “Stoop Kids” at local bars and venues across New York City.

Moses wrote his first raps when he was 14. Raised on a musical diet of Nas, Capital STEEZ, and Mac Miller, he spent his teen years participating in front stoop freestyles and middle of the street rap battles as a member of Brooklyn-based hip-hop crew “Stoop Kids” with fellow MCs Jet Fighter Watson and MoffyMixedIt. After a brief stint in Chicago which saw him join forces with Chicagoland producer S.Rock, Southside Chicago duo OutPastMidnight, and Milwaukee rapper Kenny Morningstar to form the underground rap group Closed Casket, the rapper is back home and ready to pursue his solo career.

Moses the Marauder has performed in New York, Chicago, Austin, D.C. and has played in showcases at South by Southwest, Grammy U, SOBs, and Lincoln Hall in Chicago. He has shared the stage with Lord Sko, Da$H, Fergie Baby, Andre Lawrence, and Wiseboy Jeremy – many through his “Stoop CIty” concert series which he books and throws with his events company “Stoop Kids Entertainment” at local bars and venues across New York City (footage of Stoop City Vol. 2 can be found here, tickets for Stoop City 3 are available here).
