Priority One Biography

Since meeting in high school back in 2003, punk rockers PRIORITY ONE have been playing the punk rock music they love with wild abandon. Built around the tandem vocal work of brothers Andy & Joe Stevenson, long-time guitarist Richard Stagg took over the drumming duties in 2012 to complete what is now a three-piece outfit with three distinct musical characters, each adding their own style in both vocals & in song writing. After releasing their debut EP "Tongues Ties & Bloodshot Eyes" in 2010 and the single “Go To Hell” in mid 2011, Priority One went into somewhat of a hiatus after a lineup change to refocus & refine their sound. With a large amount of time spent writing & rewriting new material, Priority One has reached this current iteration - a powerful, energetic and catchy fun experience that is a strong presence on the Perth punk scene. To capture this, they hit the studio in early 2015 and emerged with their most polished and accomplished work to date – their single “Zombie”, released Jan 2016. "There are moments of greatness in this EP. ‘No Voice’ combines punchy guitars, thumping bass lines and effective vocal cut outs, creating palpable tension which promotes, rather than detracts from the band’s musical mood swings" - Space Ship News Punk rock from Perth WA
