Taking their name from a throwaway line in Thoreau’s Walden, Bright Town too seek to escape the confusion and malaise of the modern world through music that touches upon the painful truths that connect us all. A deep reverence for classic pop songwriting is melded with the idiosyncrasies that only the products of today’s terminal culture could possess, to produce songs that brim with melody and harmony, humour and despair, guitar solos and references to societal decay.
