Loofy

Low key and to the point, Loofy is a world away from the mad hype around recent club bomb ‘Last Night’. Released on iconic NYC imprint Nervous Records, the cover version-led cut has won support from some of the biggest names in the industry, including Tale of Us, Mau P, Malaa, Oscar G, John Summit, Dom Dolla, and Adam Beyer. The boy seems unphased, more intent on the music than the praise, an attitude that saw him snapped up for management by the Nervous crew as they prepare for the next phase in his career.

Loofy’s relationship with music began early, learning the saxophone and piano as a kid. Growing up in Chicago saw him naturally influenced by hip-hop and r&b, before a move to Florida exposed him to other genres which influenced his life. In 2017, during time served in the Air Force, Loofy spent two years in the UK electronic mecca of Manchester. It was a period that would entirely change his career trajectory. By 2020 he was producing, his sound influenced by the likes of Eli Brown, Marco Faraone, Anfisa Letyago, Alix Perez, Nero, and Lil Peep. Bringing in elements of house, techno, drum’n’bass, breakcore, breakbeat and electronica, he ignores trends to create the music he wants to.

His Luv & Lust label, with its signature red and black livery, is now home to a growing discography that showcases a deeper, more intimate, sensual sound: ‘Time’, ‘Paris’, ‘Gothboi’, and ‘Xxx’. On the back of these singles and ‘Last Night’, Loofy is now a growing presence on the club circuit. Recent/upcoming tours of Canada, Malta and shows along the east and west coasts in NYC, Orlando, Miami, Las Vegas and LA have established him as a serious homegrown talent with genuine international appeal.

With new creations in the works via Nervous Records and Luv & Lust, Loofy is set to live up to the hype.
