Uprising Biography
There are several bands under the name of Uprising.
One was an anarcho-punk/crust influenced band from Michigan from 2002-2005. They had two official releases, an EP and a split EP with Contravene, and recorded a total of 13 songs, 5 of which have never been released. Their webspace is now defunct but their Myspace.com profile still exists. (http://www.myspace.com/uprising/)
One is a post-rock/sludge/screamo band from St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, that started in 2005. (http://www.myspace.com/uprisingnfld)
Another is hardcore/punk band from from the Gent area of Belgium that started in 2006. (http://www.myspace.com/uprisingoshc)
Uprising was also the name of a Syracuse, NY based vegan straight edge band. All members eventually formed Green Rage.
