About Jackson Rau
LA Based musician, producer, engineer Jackson Rau, has most notably worked as assistant engineer to Grammy award winning mixer Dave Pensado. Dave took Jackson under his wing from the early age of 18 with intentions to mentor him and pass on the experience from his legacy. During his time with Dave, Jackson gained valuable experience helping to mix Artists like Big Freedia, Kid Bloom, and SmrtdDeath. Jackson took the things he learned and applied them to his work, namely as a producer artist, where he works today from his studio in Van Nuys.
Today Jackson uses his knowledge of cutting edge production and mixing techniques to craft songs for himself and other artists. Known mostly as a “does it all” guy, Jackson has become adept at taking a demo or song idea and fleshing it out into a unique and release ready track.
“For me, it’s always about being ahead of the curve,” Jackson says. “Dave taught me to always go somewhere sonically unique especially when other people are too scared to go there.”
