TANGO GOLF TANGO Biography
Dark Tropical. That's how TANGO GOLF TANGO defined their new musical journey. Both highly reflective and a tad psychedelic, the four-piece band finally reveals it’s face and genuine identity.
This band shouldn’t exist. Francis Thibault is a nominated podcast director (Numix) and a fan of the bands Boards of Canada and Air. Alexandre Craigh has been nominated at the ADISQ, toured across Canada and China with his 60’s rock inspired band Cherry Chérie. In addition to lending her voice to several artists (Thierry Larose, Super Plage, Julyan), Marilyse Senécal explores softness and vulnerability with her solo project, San James. Philippe Coutu thrives on electronic music and afro-cuban rhythms. This blend shouldn’t work. But it does.
Carried by the waves of the dadaist and humanist currents, the collective intends to be, first and foremost, an inspiring laboratory where one can feel free to breathe and explore while leaving all ego at the door. Listening to their new sound, some people might have images of Bonnie & Clyde making out on a plastic beach, surrounded by bonobos while Montell Jordan watches from an UFO….but it’s a bit reductive.
