Butter Biography
Butter is a working class pop trio hailing from Portland, OR. Blending the danceable energy of neo disco, the storytelling songwriting of indie rock, and the infectious production of modern hip hop, Butter creates a sound and style entirely of their own. Aaron Schmidt layers synthesized guitar and vocals dripped in auto-tune over Jarrett Tracy’s and Thomas Shipley’s rhythm section, where effected octave bass and sampled 808 drums are used to build tight, unmistakeable grooves.
