THE VELVET CLUB Biography
From backyard parties to festival stages, Naarm/Melbourne based indie-rock outfit The Velvet Club have been steadily developing a loyal fan base over the years. With a focus on their high energy live show, the band have been consistently touring Australia since 2022. Creating hazy indie-rock coupled with self-reflective lyricism touching on the high’s and lows of navigating life through your twenties. Drawing comparisons from early 2000’s indie legends The Strokes to Australian favourites DMA’S & Rolling Blackouts.
Having recently toured with DICE, Ra Ra Viper & The Rions, made their debut festival appearance at Splendour in the Grass & opened for Louis Tomlinson, The Velvet Club have been on the rise in 2024 and with their new EP ‘Space Between’ set for release August 21 & a slot at this years BIGSOUND festival the band is gearing up to take on their biggest headline shows in each city with a 7 date AUS Tour in Aug/Sep.
