The Broken Things

The Broken Things is a mixture of diverse artists. Lance Austin, the lead singer, comes from a background in theatre and vocal performance. Lance met guitarist Mark Younger-Smith (Billy Idol / Joe Cocker / Charlie Sexton) during a recording session for his band Southbound Saints. Mark found in Lance a voice that commands the sounds of crooners past and the rock-n-roll of modern days. Drummer Scott Thomas (Dexter Freebish / Murder My Sweet) has toured the U.S. and Europe extensively. Scott and Mark have collaborated on many recordings and tours and his drumming is the power behind The Broken Things. Barbara Fg, a photographer and musician, was born on a small island off the west coast of France. After graduating from The National Conservatory Of Paris she toured with several European bands before moving to Austin, Texas in 2014. Barbara supplies the bass and keyboards for The Broken Things and rounds out this new group. Come and see what The Broken Things are.
