Winston Foster, better known as Yellowman, is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist born on January 15, 1956, in Kingston, Jamaica. He is known for his energetic live performances, distinctive voice, and hits like Zungguzungguguzungguzeng and Them a Mad Over Me.Yellowman was born with albinism, which has been a significant aspect of his public image. He was abandoned as a child and grew up in a Catholic orphanage. He began his music career in the late 1970s, performing in local talent shows and eventually recording his debut single, Them a Mad Over Me, in 1979.Yellowman gained popularity in the early 1980s with his unique style, which blended reggae, dancehall, and hip-hop. His music often focuses on social issues, love, and self-empowerment. He has released several successful albums, including Mellow Yellow (1982) and Zungguzungguguzungguzeng (1983).Yellowman is considered a pioneer of dancehall music and has influenced many artists, including Shabba Ranks, Sean Paul, and Beenie Man. He has also been recognized for his advocacy for people with albinism and his efforts to raise awareness about social issues in Jamaica.

King Yellowman has an incredible history in Reggae music. His upbringing at the Maxfield Home orphanage in Kingston and being albino in Jamaica were two obstacles the he overcame and went on to be (at one time) the biggest reggae artist since Bob Marley.
