I was looking for me, thought would find myself somewhere in these frequencies. I was dull just another piece of brass which looked like gold and than I heard a sound, A sound I really liked, it opened doors to another world.. where gold was as worthless as hay. I need not need to be gold any-more As "sound" spoke for what I would say. Everyday I would find myself awake a good measure before my alarms went off by the sound of a classical musician's sweet harmonium echoing out the dreamiest of Indian ragas, I must have been in my first grade. I didn't realise it then, but it had begun.. Music was escapism, it was peace to the soul, it spoke to my heart regardless of it's timbre, textures, scales, and creed. If a sound moves you in any way, and to me it spoke right to my face, whatever I listen to and dig in, becomes the soundtrack of my life at that particular moment, and encapsulating that entire moment within the sound. Such was the impact of music for me. It's a time machine, music triggers memories lived, not-lived, re-lived. Tasnneem has been embracing the infancy of her DJ career with utmost dedication. Having already played at venues across India in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, she has also been billed at venues in Sri Lanka, Dubai. Her sets are an intricate blend of soulful, yet edgy sounds that are warm with lush atmospheres encompassing the spaces of jazz,funk, nu-disco, deep house, tech-house and techno.
