“We just want to play music and meet some cool people” is the theme of this band. Panik Device is derived from members of multiple local groups. Dusty Smith (guitar) songwriter and Richard Lackey (drums) the heartbeat of the band, have been making music for many years together. Tim Taylor (guitar) is a great instrumentalist and Tommy Deloach (Bass) has that thumping bass. Jack Fowler (vocals) a former drummer comes in with that extra something on vocals. Dusty writes hard hitting songs about complex things: love, partying and bad relationships. Phrases turn, emotions connect. With Richard banging out the rhythms you can’t help but move to the beat even though you've never heard the tune before. Tim is a talented guitarist that picks up the sound and feels the music. Last but not least Tommy fills out the bottom end of the sound on bass guitar. Members of this band have played at venues such as the world famous Whiskey-A-Go-Go and shared the stage with such talented acts as Drowning Pool, Starset, Avatar, Black Stone Cherry, and Flaw just to name a few. Panik Device has been privileged to share the stage with many an unsigned but very talented band from around the U.S. Panik Device is an unsigned band on the rise in the East Texas music scene. This is in your face hard rock with a raw edge. In the studio now recording their debut album tentatively titled “Karma” expected to release later in Fall 2017.
