Neko Case

Venue was nice and I actually enjoyed the band's no-cell phones policy. The signs asking everyone to wear a mask at the band's request were odd. If that's what they wanted, they should have told us before we got to the venue (or maybe before we bought tickets). Neko's voice was incredible - range, emotion and she had good stage presence. The lead guitarist was also excellent and the others in the band were pros too. The show started at a good pace, but drug on a bit before the encore (which was also excellent). I left the show liking her music even more than I did before going, so that says to me it was a really good show.

Neko Case is phenomenal. Her show at the Lensic Theater in Santa Fe was gorgeous. The new songs she and her band played were so beautiful (spider webs!!!). And her band! So excellent. I love seeing her live so very much, I am such a fan girl. I love her weird songs (to quote her), and how they touch on so many things in this world that matter to me, and that I can feel and relate to. She is singular - no one else comes close to her. The Lensic Center for the Performing Arts is a beautiful space, with great sound.

Her voice in combination with the acoustics of the theater made for an incredible experience! Excellent performance by the band and a great set list.

She and her band were amazing! It was a surprise music madness with my girlfriend. Thanks to the band and all the people that make us happy with music.

Absolutely phenomenal!!!! Hadn’t seen her since 2018 in Charlotte NC opening for Ray Lamontagne, it was great to see a full set and her voice was soooo powerful👏🏼

Neko and her band are extremely talented and professional. They played an energetic set. Neko is so funny and charming. Indigo Sparke was also very good.

Great show - unique in that they played their usual set but reconfigured the structure and tempos for each of what are otherwise very familiar songs. It gives the listeners an opportunity to still hear their favorites, but the band the freedom to explore a fresh approach and avoid auto-pilot that we see too often. Always enjoy seeing Neko - never disappointed and the theater sound is fantastic. Sooo much better than Filmore, Neighborhood, Visualite, etc.

They asked us not to take photos so I don't have any, but I extremely enjoyed this show !! Neko has been one of my absolute favs for a long time and I'd never heard Indigo before but she was amazing too!! I am so happy to have such amazing performers visit the area, though I'm saddened that so many people were maskless despite Neko's personal request to mask. I wish people would be more respectful of others health safety and comfort even if it's personally annoying or "doesn't stop anything" in your eyes

As always, Neko and her band were amazing in Pittsburgh! Great song selection, great musicianship and harmonizing, and fun stage banter (which could have been better only with addition of Kelly Hogan, who was missed). "Pittsburgh Toilet" is generally known as "Pittsburgh Potty," for future reference, but the effort to be one of us was appreciated! 😂 Kind of bummed no New Pornographers songs with A.Carl, & no Kelly at all, but Nora & rest of band were awesome. Neko is one of the most consistently impressive and engaging performers I've ever seen, & I'll keep going to see her whenever I can!

Neko sounded SO good last night. She seemed so relaxed and her voice was flawless. Such good energy all around. Variety Playhouse is a fun venue, too.

My first time to 1st Ave. Even on a hot night the AC was decent. Great sound and Neco was really on form with her great band. Loved every minute.

Neko put on an excellent, although long delayed, show. She and the bad really seemed to be enjoying themselves and there was a good deal of crowd interaction. Can't wait to see her again.

Neko and her bandmates never disappoint. Her voice was especially strong and moving this time. I think the setting of being surrounded by trees at the zoo was inspiring for her. There were lots of crows and lots of stories. The only issue we had, was the zoo didn't allow outside food and we had to wait in line right up until Neko came on stage. It made things tense for a lot of people. The venue really needs to make sure they have WAY more carts with options that don't take long to prepare. The show was sold out so they could have planned it far better to make the experience more pleasant.

Love Neko, so glad she’s doing well❤️. Intimate little session perfectly executed, will hold me over til hee appearance at Wolftrap. Will she ever sing “Prison Girls?”

Great show by Neko Case was able to get quite close to the stage and crowd was nice and “All Fans” so found it top notch entertainment

I just saw Neko Case at the Lincoln Theater in D.C. This is her “Hell On” (latest CD) tour, and it’s a good one. Sometimes I regret not being familiar with the music before seeing a show but not this time. I recognized 4 songs the whole night and that was okay. She is one hell of a musician! Seven performers on stage and for a few songs, SIX guitars being played simultaneously. That and the two vocalists that frequently harmonize, the songs that change beat in the middle and the steel guitarist that also plays banjo, 12 string and ukulele tells me she knows her stuff. You know I listen to a lot of, umm “fringe” artists and I think Neko has more words packed into each song that any other. Not sure if she’s being verbose but now that I’ve figured out how to display the lyrics of a song playing on iPhone, I’ll get to find out. Four verbal warnings of “no video/no photo, if you’re caught using your cell phone you will be asked to leave” did the trick -not one lit screen the whole show 😀. AMAZING SHOW! New stuff was great, and pulled out old gems from across her many fantastic albums. Band was super on-point, banter was fun and funny. One of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time!

Neko Case! Simply awesome tonight in concert at the Variety Playhouse. What a beautiful voice and an excellent band to see in concert. I was a gift.

Played a really great set, including some of my favorite of her songs, but it was a bit too short for my liking. Free festival shows must be difficult to plan, though -- don't know how many people are there specifically to see you and how many are there just for a free show.
