About this concert
What better way to mark a long weekend Sunday than seeing three kick-arse rock and roll bands in a dive bar? Get yourself to The MoshPit on King Street at St Peters on June 9 for Jupiter 5, The Dark Clouds and The Jane Does. Jupiter 5 are fresh from the launch of their formidable “5th From The Sun” CD and ready to blast your mind into the solar system. They mix iron clad riffs with tinges of psychedelica and '60s-inspred garage rock. The Dark Clouds are midway through a slew of shows up and down the NSW coast on the back of their most recent album “My Way Or The Highway”. Listing influences from Midnight Oil and The Dictators to Turbo Negro & Monster Magnet, they describe their sound as somewhere between old school Proto-Punk & Aussie Pub Rock. The Jane Does leaven their brand of Rock Action with a sunny slice of pop and some girl group sass, and are making a name as one of the Sydney circuit's must-see acts. The bands kick off at 3pm and it's just $15+bf in advance or $20 at the door.

Jupiter 5 Biography

From exploring the outer reaches of the solar system, Jupiter 5 crash land on their home planet. Convened from trace elements of The Conspirators, Thurston Howlers & 69BC they extend their legacy with lashings of 60s and 70s rock. Hot on the heels of their well received debut single, "H-Bomb/Supersonic Hero" the band will be playing Sydney shows through winter 2021.

"“Supersonic Hero” will get your heart-rate up and your fat butt waggling across the room in a grotesque parody of a sexual come-on while you stagger about on your gammy leg. " - Robert Brokenmouth, www.i94bar.com
