On Saturday 24th August we are looking forward to welcoming back contemporary blues guitarist / singer-songwriter Thomas Heppell to Joe Joe Jims for a solo performance.
With a style encapsulating the heart of Blues, the energy of Rock & Roll, and the sophistication of Jazz, Thomas can command a solo stage and will get your foot tapping to some good old classics, with a few familiar favourites and some originals, along the way. His musical journey has seen him share the limelight with stalwarts such as Dan Patlansky, The Cinelli Brothers, Connor Selby, Brave Rival, Catfish, Robin Bibi, Chicken Shack, Mike Mayfield, and even household names like Anton du Beke of Strictly Come Dancing fame.
Thomas secured nominations at the UK Blues Awards in 2023 and 2024 - with nods for Best Young, Emerging, and Acoustic Blues Artist - and it's evident Thomas is a force to be reckoned with in the British Blues scene: don't miss this one folks!

Tickets are for ?general admission? giving you access to any available seating or standing areas. There is no assigned seating, any seating that is available can be taken on a first come first served basis.

His musical journey has seen him share the limelight with stalwarts such as Chicken Shack and Catfish and coming up soon Alice Armstrong, Connor Selby, Brave Rival and The Cinelli Brothers. In 2022, he graced stages alongside household names like Anton du Beke of Strictly Come Dancing fame, Robin Bibi, and Mike Mayfield. He’s also left his mark at illustrious venues and events such as The Tuesday Night Club in London, Lincoln Jazz Cafe, Broadstairs Blues Bash, Swanage Blues Festival, and Weyfest.
His EP, 'Be My Home', not only received airwaves love from Jazz FM and Blues Radio UK but also secured him nominations at the UK Blues Awards 2023. With nods for Best Young, Emerging, and Acoustic Blues Artist, it's evident Thomas is a force to be reckoned with in the British Blues panorama.
