KRXS Biography
Over the past few years, Phoenix-based singer, guitarist and rapper Kris Radtke—known professionally as KRXS—has become a rising figure in the group of emerging artists bridging the gap between emo-rap and pop-punk.
Compassionate, yet humorous and honest—his songs are meant to be played through the AirPods of a lonely Gen-X who feels misunderstood.
Radtke’s forte is writing frenetic, anthemic hooks and snappy, ear-worm verses that you don’t mind humming all day, but intermingled within his stories of emotional pain is an unwavering belief that everything will turn out okay. Regardless of the challenges he has faced in life, Radtke has always turned to music to funnel his fear, anger, and anxieties with the world into a positive outlet.
His lyrics are a form of pop-therapy, spanning his mother’s battle with a rare form of brain cancer to mental health and suicidal ideation—topics that have been a catalyst for his relatable and catchy emo-rap tunes. At the end of the day, KRXS is—more than anything—just trying to relate.
Since live music has returned, KRXS has notably supported Dropout Kings, Smrtdeath and Whitney Peyton, as well as toured the Southwest in mid-2021.
He's released 3 singles—”Emo Rodeo (Dear Your Honor)”, “Bright Blue” and “Regrets,Reset.” in anticipation of his debut album—X S i T E N S T i A L —due out independently November 1st, 2021.
