My new favorite dive (Bar Freda), Lightnin' Luke and Clyde and the Milltailers (both from Bridge City Sinners) brought the gospel with rebellious folk-punk. Along with Charles Ellsworth, John Luther Norris and Matt Willhelm, the show was start to finish an extravaganza of musical talent this old punker found to be a refreshing experience despite the apocalyptic air pollution from Canadian wildfires!

Lightnin' Luke Biography
Lightnin' Luke’s powerful vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and wild fiddle playing have made him a versatile musical force, and a towering presence in the underground folk scene. His resume includes a dizzying list of collaborations, as a member of The Bridge City Sinners, Yes Ma'am, Tejon Street Corner Thieves, Clyde and the Milltailers, and King Strang, along with on-stage appearances with The Goddamn Gallows, Pete Bernhard (of The Devil Makes Three), Amigo the Devil, IV and The Strange Band, and many, many, more.
