About this concert
THANK F**K ITS FRIDAY Announcing Rock n Roll ledgends The DIRTY STRANGERS carrying a torch for rootsy Rock'N'Roll. They went on tour with The Rolling Stones...for two and a half years!! Supported by the young Retro Queen of broken hearts - Georgia Crandon, BBC Radio 2's 'Future Gold' and the even younger new wave indie band - Monumental. Expect a wild night at The Water Rats as we celebrate the end of the week! Get ready to let loose, dance, and have a great time with friends. This is the perfect event to unwind after a long week of work or study. Don't miss out on the fun - see you there! The Dirty Strangers are an English Rock’N’Roll band carrying a torch for rootsy Rock'N'Roll as invented by Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent & Chuck Berry. Laced with a little bit of Otis Redding Soul and a side order of Punk attitude. It’s arresting & Seductive. Its Dirty Rock'N'Roll, & you'll like it. Famed for gigging widely over the past 5 decades, releasing critically acclaimed albums & working alongside a whole heap of famous names (including Keith Richards and Ron Wood, to name but two). They are something to behold. Check out their latest album ‘Hunter’s Moon’ (voted as one of 2023’s best albums), Discography online, & recently written Biography on frontman Alan Clayton, to see why bestowed Music journalist Kris Needs calls them “the UK’s last true Rock N Roll band”. Georgia Crandon established quite a reputation in her homelands of Essex and London – but that story is about to get bigger. Her performance at The Royal Albert Hall to a sell out 5,000 capacity audience generated huge interest in Georgia. Major festival appearances included The Isle of Wight, Cheltenham Jazz, Cornbury and Weyfest 2021. BBC R2's Tony Blackburn named her 'Future Gold' in Sept 2023. The sound is fresh – with immediate youthful appeal, yet echoes the vocal rawness of Janis Joplin, the stage presence of a young Elvis Presley and a nod to the wonderful tones of Amy Winehouse.

Georgia CRANDON Biography

In 2019 she took to the road, playing to thousands on a 50 date support tour – including a sell out finale performance at The Royal Albert Hall. Major festival appearances included The Isle of Wight, Cheltenham Jazz, Cornbury, Weyfest and SVF. Momentum was interrupted in 2020 due to Coronavirus. But Georgia, signed to a NEW publisher, is about to set 2023 on fire. Following the successful release of her previous EP – Overthinker that has gained followers globally her debut album has already sparked enthusiasm. The sound is fresh – with immediate youthful appeal, yet echoes the vocal rawness of Janis Joplin, the stage presence of Elvis Presley and a nod to the wonderful tones of Amy Winehouse. She is now set to tour (in 2024 - 25) with her new self- titled album.
