About Ed Blunt

It all started with a Zoom songwriting camp...

I signed up out of curiosity; I'd never written a song before. I'd never even sung in front of people. I had a lot of stage fright and anxiety from my music college days.

The first day I tried to write for twenty minutes, gave up, and took my Honda Jazz for an MOT.

The second day I was going to quit, but I went back and managed to write a song. I played it to the group. I was absolutely terrified. To my surprise, they said.. “that’s great”.

In that moment, I realised, “Wow, I can actually write songs”.

That camp feels a long time ago now because, since then, I've released two albums, I drive around in my Honda Jazz playing shows, and and run my own songwriting camps to help others find their creativity. My stage fright has improved a lot.

In life, it's always easy to pick out your shortcomings, but it's much better to look back to see where you've come from.

Writing songs has helped me find this little magical place in the world where things I never thought could happen, actually happen.

I hope you'll come along find some of that magic with me.
