About Pestifer (BEL)
Within a scene that’s either obsessed by technique for technique or by a nostalgia for aeons past, the four humanoids of PESTIFER stand out with their unique brand of Death Metal that combines both a true genuine vibe and a singular approach to production and playing, being one of the very few bands that can be both recognized as “technical” and “old-school” yet not pertaining to any of both with a really personal approach to the genre that emphasises on song structures, elaborate riffing and the general atmosphere of its compositions, ever since its inception in 2004.
After a debut EP in 2006, PESTIFER released their debut full-length, “Age of Disgrace“, in 2010, and its follow-up, “Reaching the Void“, in 2014. Throughout their fifteen years-long career so far, the band has played countless gigs among which three Europe tours with KATAKLYSM, KRISIUN and NILE and shows with the likes of EXHUMED, VITAL REMAINS, DEVOURMENT, VADER, ENTOMBED just to name a few.
PESTIFER then decided to take all the necessary time to write not only their more personal album music-wise, combining and transcending not only all members influences and musical background, but also come up with a new Sci-Fi concept that would develop in each and every song of the album and the full-length as a whole.
In 2020, PESTIFER will be “Expanding Oblivion” and Humanity is not even prepared. Resistance is futile, anyway.
