About this concert
Supernature is an event celebrating the whacking/waacking and clubbing dance community in an electric atmosphere. Get down on the dance floor to the orchestral high-notes of disco, the jubilant chords of house and the transcendent rhythms of techno.
In addition to its kaleidoscopic club night, the Supernature collective is hosting its biggest whacking/waacking battle of the year. Originating in the queer, Black and Latinx clubs of Los Angeles in the 1970s, whacking/waacking is a flamboyant, performative dance with its roots in funk, disco and house. With Supernature, this supercharged dance style, which had almost disappeared from its natural habitat, has returned to its birthplace: the club.
Supernature brings you an explosion of creativity and infectious energy, with a line-up of local and international queer artists, DJs and performers who dropping beats and get down on them all night long.
This event will be presented in the regular format, the public will be standing*.
*Seating may be available on the balcony, provided that it is open to the public.

Is it true that the truth is out there? We want to believe! (And to be quite honest, we find your lack of faith disturbing) Running, jumping, climbing trees, fighting kung-fu- in our minds... Lying around in the shade and swotting flies. All from the comfort of the studio chair. Full moon affected , perpendicular people, who will never lie down to EU law and give up a Siesta or 3. Flying the flag for a more caribean way of life in Europe. ----- Supernature was set up in 2007 by Audiofly to release music they were passionate about and was deserving of more attention. With a roster that has developed from this Barcelona-based duo’s global touring schedule, Supernature is truly an international family of artists, such as Kabuto & Koji (Costa Rica), Amelie (Ibiza/London), Fabio Gianelli (Italy), Ali Nasser (Romania), Alejandro Vivanco (Chile) and many more. While still releasing some vinyl to go with the digital output the label has become a firm favourite with the great and the good.
