Wildflower Biography
Known in the 70's & 80's as a funk and disco band, the iconic Wildflower is still the champion party band as it always has been.
By the mid-1970s, Wildflower was playing several of the New Jersey shore nightclubs, including Memories in Margate, Tony Mart in Somers Point, and the Stardust, in Wildwood, as well as special performances on Jerry Blavat's TV show. They also played many Philadelphia/Jersey-based clubs, toured in many mid-Atlantic and Midwest cities as far as Chicago, and night clubs up and down the east coast from New York to Florida. By 1977, Wildflower signed with H & L Records in New York.
An August 20th,2010 reunion performance at the Valley Forge Raddison sparked the white hot coals once again, and since that time, the eight piece Wildflower stronger than ever party band with its tight rhythm section and powerful horns, has been wowing audiences and night clubs/bars all around the tri-state area.
Wildflower offers a big Philly sound along with high energy funk, R&B and soul.
