MAGISCHE REISE Mit dem kommenden Album schliessen die italienischen Melodic Power Metal Götter Rhapsody of Fire eine fantastische Trilogie ab, die sie im Jahr 2019 mit dem Album „The Eighth Mountain“ angefangen haben. Die Band um Tastenhexer Alex Staropoli entführt uns mit dem abschliessenden Kapitel der „Nephilim’s Empire“-Saga erneut auf eine magische Reise durch zauberhafte Klanglandschaften, atemberaubende Riffs und unvergessliche Geschichten. Die italienische Band Rhapsody of Fire kehrt zurück mit dem letzten Part ihrer Saga und liefert 2024 ein weiteres Meisterwerk des modernen Melodic Power Metals. Pathetisch und temporeich präsentiert die Band rund um Alex Staropoli seit über drei Jahrzehnten ein symphonisches Metal-Meisterwerk nach dem anderen. Wer erinnert sich nicht gerne an Klassiker wie „Legendary Tales“ (1997), „Symphony Of Enchanted Lands“ (1998) oder „Dawn Of Victory“ (2000)? Seit ein paar Jahren arbeiten die Musiker unter dem Titel „The Nephilim’s Empire“ an einer fantastischen Trilogie. In den letzten Alben „The Eight Mountain“ (2019) und „Glory For Salvation“ (2021) zeigten sie ihre unglaubliche Stärke in epischen Chori und opulenten Orchesterarrangenements. Nun wird die Geschichte fortgesetzt und eine weitere Stärke der Band herausgestrichen: Die Fähigkeit, eine Story mit unglaublicher Spannung weiterzuentwickeln und zu erzählen. Wie schon im letzten Album ist die Besetzung hochkarätig und auf den Punkt. Giacomo Voli überzeugt wie immer als exorbitant grossartiger Sänger und mit technischer Raffinesse. Mit „Kreel’s Magic Staff“ wurde im letzten Jahr bereits die erste Single des nächsten Albums veröffentlicht. Die Power-Metaller sagen zu dem Lied: „Jedes einzelne Bandmitglied hat eine Menge Arbeit geleistet, um die Messlatte noch höher zu legen. ‚Kreel’s Magic Staff‘ ist nur der Anfang einer orchestralen Klangreise, die euch einmal mehr in unsere Fantasiewelt entführen wird.“

Rhapsody Of Fire Biography
Italian symphonic metal gods RHAPSODY OF FIRE, started their career in Trieste in the mid 90’s (releasing their first albums under the banner of “Rhapsody”), the debut ‘Legendary Tales’ (1997) and the second studio album ‘Symphony Of Enchanted Lands’ (1998) made a huge impact on the scene with a unique mixture of classic power metal, baroque/classical elements, operatic choirs and movie-like orchestrations. A huge worldwide fan base was built very quickly and the first five albums (which sold combined way over 1.000.000 copies) placed Rhapsody on top of the best-selling and most popular metal artists worldwide. They have played several tours all around the world in front of amazing crowds from Sao Paulo to Tokyo.
In 2004, Christopher Lee, a world-renowned actor that played in numerous movies including The Lord of The Rings as Saruman, contributed to the band by narrating and singing in their recordings. The most famous song that illustrates this unforgettable cooperation is “The Magic Of the Wizard’s Dream”.
From 2011, Alex Staropoli invited his longtime friend Roby De Micheli to become the new guitarist of RHAPSODY OF FIRE to continue producing music in the more classic and heavy direction that the fans loved so much.
After the ‘Live - From Chaos To Eternity’ double live album, released in early 2013, only six months later ‘Dark Wings Of Steel’ was unleashed. Music had been written by Alex Staropoli and his brother Manuel. It marked a first step back to the band’s roots, which continued in 2016 consequently with “Into The Legend”, their 11th studio album - another legendary and possibly the most accomplished masterpiece this forceful band has ever produced.
The band has now entered an important chapter of its history with a new singer, Giacomo Voli, a talented and powerful singer well known in Italy for his second place at The Voice in 2014.
Their latest studio recording The Eighth Mountain, released by AFM/Soulfood on 22 February 2019, combines spirited songs and epic chorus parts with lavish orchestra arrangements.
Rhapsody Of Fire will be performing in many cities around Europe this Winter 2020 for the second leg of their "The Eighth Mountain Tour".
