About this concert
Robert Earl Keen and his mighty fine band, plus a handful of very special guests are set to bring Western Chill, Keen's latest album beloved for its soulfully laid-back vibe, into live and living color one night only on June 14th at Grand Prairie's Texas Trust CU Theatre. Be in the room as Keen and the band guide the audience through the big hits, of course, but also a selection of songs from the new record of which The Wall Street Journal praised as, “In total, the sounds and sights Mr. Keen and band have concocted and assembled work as road maps toward getting happily de-stressed and deliberately lost—for the audience, too.” June 14th will be the perfect mood-setting start to summer.
William Beckmann and Red Shahan guests will each do a set of their own chill-inducing tunes to kick off the evening, followed by sit-ins and collaborations with Keen and company. Sit back, relax, and welcome to the world of Western Chill.

This is my 10th time seeing since 1989. And I have to say I really appreciate his craftsmanship to his lyrics and to his band. The chemistry was true and his voice has not wavered with time.

Robert Earl Keen Biography
Singer, songwriter, and entertainer, Robert Earl Keen, has recorded 19 albums and performed thousands of shows. His music ranges from country to bluegrass to rock and his songs have been recorded by artists including George Strait, Lyle Lovett, Joe Ely, Montgomery Gentry, Dixie Chicks, The Highwaymen, Gillian Welch, Todd Snider, and Shawn Colvin. In 2012, he was inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame along with his college friend, Lyle Lovett and the late Townes Van Zandt. In March 2015, BMI honored him as the first recipient of the Troubadour Award. Keen’s philanthropic and charity work led him to be presented with the Distinguished Alumni award from Texas A&M University in the fall of 2018. The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame inducted Robert Earl Keen into their 2019 class with the receipt of their Spirit of Texas Award.
