Following on from the 2021 single Singing Stripe (produced by Tim Fitz, Middle Kids), she has recently released her debut full-length album ‘Nothing Wrong’. Singles ‘Paper’, ‘Omissions’ & ‘Disintegrate’ have been featured on Fbi Radio, 2Ser, Double J and Rage. Produced by Blain Cunneen (Midnight Oil, Julia Jacklin), the album was critically praised upon release, and debuted at #7 on the AIR charts. Impressed Recordings selected the album to be pressed in a Special Limited Edition vinyl run alongside other Australian artists including Babitha, Hungry Kids of Hungary and Ngaiire. Mulligan's list of achievements includes being shortlisted for FBi's Northern Lights competition, as well as appearances at Fairgrounds Festival, St Kilda Festival and BigSound. Mulligan’s sophomore EP ‘Mirror’ was released in 2019, garnering support from community radio and regular spins on triple j. In 2019 Georgia joined Julia Jacklin's Crushing World Tour as a member of her backing band as well as performing solo in support of Jacklin's sold out run of dates in the UK and Ireland.Hannah McKittrick is a musician and radio host from Naarm. Her songs function as poetic inquiries into loss and intimacy. Equipped with a voice that instantly hushes a room, and a sensitivity that is almost reverent, Hannah’s music places atmosphere and truth at its centre. To be in the world of Hannah's music is to be engulfed by it; anchored only by a sense of deep trust in an artist who is in complete control of her power. Hannah McKittrick released her second album ‘The day has again bruised on the 333rd day of 2022, which was met by resounding acclaim. Her performances stretch beyond time and place, at once expansive and wildly intimate.Lewis Coleman – the Beloved art-rock artist makes music that is “heady, bewitching, and ultimately immersive” (Clash Magazine). Offline, his new record out October 27 on Beloved Recordings, is sophisticated and honest, undulating through Colemans' idiosyncrasies and observations, fluxing and unfurling through less familiar aspects of his identity in conspicuous and playful ways. Lewis is a much-beloved member of the Australian music ecosystem - Growing up with The Cactus Channel, Coleman has produced records with Mo’Ju and has been a valued band member with Ruby Gill, Chitra, Gabriella Cohen, Kat Edwards, Darvid Thor and Coda Chroma. Offline is a strut with Coleman and his friends, it’s a top button undone and coarse Indigo sheets, it arrives creased and complex like Coleman and can’t be ironed out.Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat. Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on. We also pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities that may join us for our show.Northcote Social Club strives to create a safe space that everyone can enjoy.Crowd surfing & dangerous behaviour will result in removal from the venue.Full conditions of entry | Accessibility Info

Lewis Coleman Biography

Forthcoming on new Naarm-based label Beloved Recordings, Lewis Coleman's latest offering Offline is a collection of songs grounded in a desire to generate a current within stagnant and hopeless waters. It marks a significant departure from Colemans previous, more brooding and introverted record Method of Places, and as he leans into a more confident, outward facing aspect of himself, so too does Offline. It’s music replete with playful arrangements and kinetic opportunity and, as Coleman states, “songs that are hot, warm, saturated and fun”.

Whether it’s the lanky, dawdling guitar lines in the title track Offline to the propulsive drums and coiled, abstract string phrasing of Your Future and Sandy, Offline undulates through Colemans idiosyncrasies and observations, fluxing and unfurling through less familiar aspects of his identity in conspicuous and playful ways. In Coleman’s words, Offline “explores the fantasy worlds we, by paradox of technological separateness and closeness, build around ourselves and the people we love, and the social architectures around sharing and selling our lives in this landscape.”

Coleman had planned to play more shows around Method Of Places but, like many of us in the early days of the pandemic, he spent a lot of time alone instead. He insulated himself in his bungalow studio, crafting what would become, for him, a collection of songs that celebrate a more confident and daring side. His goals were simple, and perhaps an antidote to the time: Create “a record that encourages the listener to energise themselves and move forward. It’s music to get out of bed for.” With most of the instrumentation and lyrics laid down by Coleman in Naarm, a five day stint in Meanjin/Brisbane with dear friend Sam Cromack of Ball Park Music granted Coleman time to shape and oxygenate the structure of Offline and its lyrical form. What emerges is a collection of songs that both melodically and lyrically conjure imagery of someone looking inwards to expand outwards.

Between these two records, Coleman has become a preeminent collaborator, producing music for and performing with Mo’Ju, Gabriella Cohen, Ruby Gill, Kat Edwards, Darvid Thor and Coda Chroma. A generous, well (be)loved and similarly underrated musical gem in our community, he has comfortably come into his own.

With the release date set for November 3rd, 2023 and a series of visual accompaniments aided by Jack Ralph, Myka Wallace & Darvid Thor, Offline can’t be relegated to a particular medium or craft, more a series of impressions, moods and abstractions that accentuate Colemans movement through the uncomfortable and unfamiliar. It is as Coleman suggests, “discovering how colour can be brought out of the blue and into the reds”. Offline is a strut with Coleman and his friends, it’s a top bottom undone and coarse Indigo sheets, it arrives creased and complex like Coleman and can’t be ironed out.
