Mannequin Death Squad Biography

"Dancing between genres, whilst not falling in one for too long.” – Rolling Stone (IN).

"A mixture of L7, The Distillers and Paramore with a very angelic yet gritty vibe about it" - Heavy Mag.

Mannequin Death Squad is an instrument swapping, two-piece, girl and boy, indie rock/punk band from Melbourne, Australia.

The fiercely independent duo has left a trail of enthusiastic and passionate fans in their wake. Mixing catchy pop melodies with ferocious punk rock riffs, and an infectiously energetic live show.

The pair have toured extensively since their inception, having shared the stage with many including: Suicidal Tendencies (USA), NENA (DE), SOFT PLAY (SLAVES) (UK), Frenzal Rhomb (AUS), British India (AUS) and WAAX (AUS) to name a few.

The power duo have recently returned from the northern hemisphere, playing festivals and club shows across the UK, Europe and India. 21 dates in total throughout Europe featured an appearance at Rebellion Festival(UK), a supporting slot for NENA in Amsterdam and an onslaught of incendiary performances across capital cities such as Berlin, Paris, London and more. The tour was concluded with a headline set at Ziro Festival in the scenic foothills of the Himalayas in Aranachal Pradesh, India.

The band’s has garnered some serious press of late, being featured in Rolling Stone (IN), shared on Spotify’s “All New Rock”, “Fresh Finds” and “Fresh Finds AU/NZ” editorial playlists as well as being listed in the KERRANG! Chart (UK). As well as their latest two singles being spun on Triple J (AUS) as well as various radio stations across the world.

Having only released their long-awaited debut album “Super Mental Psycho” last year, the band have announced their sophomore album 'Wise and Dangerous' will be released in late 2024. “Super Mental Psycho” was co-produced with legendary Australian producer Mark Opitz (AC/DC, INXS, The Angels, Divinyls).

Capping off 2023 with a stellar performance at SXSW Sydney, and being handpicked by Mike Muir to support Suicidal Tendencies on their Australian Tour; Mannequin Death Squad is set for a momentous 2024.
