Westall 66 Biography

Deep in the beating heart of Melbourne, where the vast skies can rain down or shine on, Westall 66 was born. Comprised of a group of passionate and experienced humans over 35, they are ready to embark on a journey once again into the world of rock music.
Westall 66 were formed online in the early part of 2023 by singer/bassist Jay Something, disheartened by other creative attempts, sending a message to three other excellent musicians, lead guitarist Scott McPhedran, rhythm guitarist Boyd Gill and drummer Dan Carroll.
Their story began in a dimly lit studio in Box Hill where the band rapidly connected and locked in together, writing and arranging powerful songs with intricate melodies and poignant lyrics. What started as fun weekend sessions with likeminded musicians soon transformed into a shared dream of bringing a unique blend of melancholy and introspection to the forefront of the Melbourne music scene.
Whatever the future holds, Westall 66 remain steadfast in their commitment to creating music that serves as a guiding light for those navigating the tumultuous seas of the human experience.
