About this concert
On Saturday 15th June at The Apex in Bury St Edmunds, we'll be welcoming garage-rock godheads GAFFA TAPE SANDY for their biggest-ever hometown show as they celebrate the release of their hugely anticipated, brilliantly-named debut LP, 'Hold My Hand, God Damn It' on legendary indie imprint Alcopop Records. Expect an incendiary display of the tour-honed high-octane thrills that've seen the band become a must-see live sensation at festivals (Glastonbury, Truck, Latitude) and high-profile supports (IDLES, Skegss, The Subways, Mom Jeans, Buzzcocks) across the globe.
As if that wasn't exciting enough, our very, very special guests will be Colchester's PET NEEDS, whose new album 'Intermittent Fast Living' smashed into the UK Top 20 (outselling the likes of Taylor Swift and Green Day). Like GTS, Pet Needs have taken their high-energy, positive punk thrills Worldwide, with an impressive succession of high-profile supports (Frank Turner, Flogging Molly, The Hives, The Bouncing Souls) and a string of explosive releases on game-changing punk label Xtra Mile.
Opening up the show is a breathtakingly brilliant double-whammy one-two of enormo-tune wowzerness: stadium-slaying alt-pop perfectionist GABBY RIVERS and math-punk wizards SLUGHOUSE.
7-11pm
All ages are welcome (under 14s with a parent or carer).
