We've lined up a stellar roster of your fave local artists and some exciting new talents breezing through town!This week Catholic Guilt, Kill Bell and Bollard are stopping by for a show.Melbourne punk/alt-rockers Catholic Guilt combine elements of punk, alt, folk and rock, resulting in a sound they describe as 'honest music. Debut EP Hymnbook Vol. 1 saw the band sell out Melbourne's Reverence Hotel, secure Spotify editorial playlisting and receive national radio airplay via triple j for singles Counterfeit Guitars and Paper and Ink. Critically acclaimed follow up This Is What Honesty Sounds Like was released via the Californian label Wiretap Records in August 2020. A musical exploration of five very different human experiences, isolation, frustration, love, anger, and loss, it earned the band national and international airplay via over 130 stations and received acclaim from Alternative Press, Music Feeds, Brooklyn Vegan, Pop Matters & more. Catholic Guilt has since gone on to appear on major Australian festivals Full Tilt and Knight and Day and support Real Friends, Switchfoot, Behind Crimson Eyes & Chasing Ghosts. With new guitarist/vocalist Megan Sidwell & drummer Michael Condello in the fold, they recently released the singles 'Talking Fake', 'Live For The Rush' and 'Can You See Me?'Kill Bell is a punk trio from Naarm known for their raw sound and high-energy performances. Made up of Charlie Pass, Nick Tam and James Roberts, they've earned radio play across the nation, even securing No.1 on the AMRAP charts on three occasions. Theyve shared stages with top punk acts like RVG, Moaning Lisa and Pinch Points. The trio are set to release their sophomore album in September.Bollard are a Naarm/Melbourne-based rock collective. They released their second album 'Lo' in late-2023.Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat.Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on.
