About this concert
Taking their high octane, self deprecating and self destructive show, Melbourne’s Admiral Ackbar’s Dishonourable Discharge are taking their show on the road. With barely a breath from the first note to the last, the ska punk pranksters are known for a hyperactive bombardment of upstrokes at a blistering pace, peppering the audience with a barrage with antics that are sure to leave you bewildered, amused or a combination of the two.Along for the ride, dragged kicking and screaming by their haunches are Melbourne’s The Kittyhawks.Formed from the ashes of Ska veterans, Sounds Like Chicken, The Kittyhawks have been dazzling audiences with their blend of pop punk, ska and rock.Currently riding the high of their first full length, From Brass to Bullets, the Kittyhawks join Admiral Ackbar’s Dishonourable Discharge on the road to show the East Coast what the Melbourne Ska scene has to offer.Joining Admiral Ackbar’s Dishonourable Discharge and The Kittyhawks on the second show of the tour at Leichhardt Bowlo will be Wollongong's The Skarntz and Sydney locals Operation Ibis.On the four night whirlwind bombardment, the two bands feature some of their close friends and favourite Australian Ska and Punk bands and artists.

Operation Ibis Biography

Hailing from the bins of Sydney’s Inner West.
Operation Ibis, are ska punk Party Birds that are always a welcome edition to every gig they play.
Within the first three years since their formation they have played over 120 shows and built a reputation for a high energy, fast paced stage performance that gets all folks on their feet and onto the dance floor.
With their "DIY till we die" ethos they revel in playing the unconventional shows, whether it be down an alley way, in a dive bar or a punks picnic ..it brings out the best in them. Honk Honk.
