A.J. Croce

Great concert. He did some of his own stuff, some of other people's material but mostly he did a excellent job covering his father's songs. The main reason I wanted to see this show. I was a very big Jim Croce fan way back when he first started out in the early 1970's

AJ did a terrific job bringing his own music and fusing it with Jim’s legacy. The backstory to what shaped his music with the foundation of his Father was powerful. Very engaged with the entire audience in a historical venue that made you laugh, shed a tear for what could have been and walk away feeling that the music lives on for all ages. A wonderful evening watching an outstanding talent of a band creating a memorable night for my son, grandson and myself. Croce On!!!!!

Absolutely FABULOUS!!! I was blown away by AJ’s talent and charisma. I am a huge fan if his dad’s music…and came away totally enamored with AJ & his music! I can’t wait to be entralled again…I just bought another ticket for my trip to Peekskill, NY in May! 🫶🏼

I have always loved Jim Croce music but obviously never got to see him in concert. This was a fantastic second!! A.J. was fantastic at singing and playing his Dad's songs and he is just a great musician PERIOD!! He can play anything!! His music is really good too!! If anyone is a Jim Croce fan, this is a MUST SEE!! I am so happy I got to see this and would definitely see him again!

AJ concert decent. A few original Jim Croce songs, but had to listen to a lot of AJ original stuff in between. Or that it was bad, but to manage expectations, this was AJ playing AJ th a sprinkle of Jim. He is highly promoting his dad to get the sellout. Could have been so much better

This was an amazing and outstanding concert. We felt as if we were in our living room listening to music and hearing AJ talk about his father and growing up and listening to some great music. He was an outstanding musician and vocalist.

AJ is so good! I went to hear his dad’s music but became a big fan now of his. He has a bluesy vibe and voice and is an incredible piano player. I will definitely see him again and if you have never seen him you are missing out. Amazing talent.

Loved his energy and the fact the he evoked my nostalgia and love for Jim's music. The show was beautifully put together with the film backing. Really enjoyed it. Thought that AJ sounded a little hoarse, but it was the last night of the tour. Play on, AJ!

He was fantastic and such a wonderful performance. Great rapport with the audience and an incredible pianist, too. His Dad has to be so very proud of him and is smiling down at him from Heaven. Thank you, AJ, so much for bringing his music back to his fans.💗

This is maybe the 7th time I’ve seen AJ play. As the title of his tour says, he plays his father’s music. He does play other songs as well that are a mix of covers and his own. If you enjoy New Orleans Jazz, he’s a must. I got to meet him after his show. I asked for a photo and he was very patient and obliging. As others gathered to get things signed, I blurted out what I’ve been dying to ask since I saw him the very first time…. What was it like recording with Ry Cooder? I expected a one line answer. He gave me his full attention and went into detail about the two experiences he had with Ry. I was unaware of the first so it was a complete surprise. What a treat to talk to AJ and to hear him retell his amazing experiences. Annnnd I’ll see him perform again in February!

If you have the opportunity to see AJ Croce in his Croce plays Croce tour… don’t hesitate. Just go! He put on a great show. I was not expecting such an accomplished trio of musicians backing him up! I was not expecting to love AJ’s original music. I had no idea he is a great pianist! I was floored with the new life he brings to his Dads music. The show was a lively mix of blues, rock, funk, country. So entertaining. I’d go again!

All I can say is wow! What a great show by great performers in a great venue! AJ Croce tells a beautiful story about himself, his mom and dad through blues, his originals and his dad's classics. I was riveted! He is an unbelievable pianist, all his band members are outstanding and have played for well known bands....don't take my word for it though. You should probably see it for yourself...

So,, so, so good and … sigh. I was almost exhausted after song two just being in the audience because of the energy and what he brings to the room with his awesome band. No breaks , took requests and great, humorous storyteller about other greats. Clearly doesn’t need to stand on family name laurels. At ALL

AJ Croce put on a terrific show, full of energy and musicality, at The National Theatre in Richmond, VA! He performed with a talented group of musicians with great resumes...and the band was clearly having fun, as well as the audience, who sang along and danced in the aisles. Croce did a perfect mix of his dad's tunes from the early 1970's (now 50 years old!), his own original tunes, and even a fantastic , soulful song he performed from the 1920's on the piano. AJ Croce is a gifted piano player, guitar player, songwriter, and vocalist in his own right. If you feel nostalgic about Jim Croce's music, but enjoy a mix of newer songs performed well, this is the concert for you!

A little short. Musicians were excellent. Could have played a couple more songs. Some crazy lady kept screaming "woo woo, woo hoo!" even during the quiet moments, when AJ was talking and ....worse of all and unforgivable, during "Time in a Bottle". If I was AJ, I wouldn't have done any more songs after that due to that Rude Bitch. She must have thought she was at a Motley Crue show. But we liked the band a lot and loved the venue.

AJ and his band were absolutely phenomenal. His is such a fantastic artist in his own right. Then when you throw in his dad's music - WOW! I would love to see him again in concert! Thank you AJ --- You've got a name!!

This concert by AJ Croce and his band exceeded our expectations. Not only was the music superb (all the musicians were very talented) and covered several musical spectrums, but his stories on certain songs and his experiences with other musicians really added to the show. My wife thought he was amazing. Would love to see him again next time he comes around!

The venue was great, goldilocks perfect in my mind. Good size but not huge. Not a bad seat in the house. The performance was fantastic. Not only does A.J. Croce share his intimate family photos and family history, but he brings timeless classics from his Dad alive for us all. Then he makes the show even better by adding in a concert with his music and others. Great storytelling kept the audience involved and in anticipation of the next great song by the complete band. They all did a great job.

Overall the concert was good. Our one complaint was they needed a much better mixer on the sound board. For about half the concert AJ's voice was washed out by poor mixing. On the songs we knew it didn't matter, but on songs we had not previously heard we could not make out the lyrics.
