Gerhart

Gerhart can be described as a new twist to the modern rock genre. They've been inspired by the likes of the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Guns n' Roses, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, and Shinedown. Formed in 2010, with a lineup of Drew Burrell (Guitar), Matt Kamykowski (Guitar), Jake Kamykowski (Bass), and Nick Smith (Drums), Gerhart wanted to create something different from the music that is heard on the radio today. They began creating modern rock songs with a classic rock feel, and in late 2011, when Kevin Badten joined the band as the lead singer, everything started coming together. A month after Kevin joined, the band won two battle of the bands and started building a fan base in the Northwest Indiana Area. Recently, they have opened for Alice in Chains and Black Label Society in Milwaukee, and they hope to continue playing outside NWI now that they are all of legal age.
