Say Zuzu

Great rock'n'roll doesn't always have a great name. For nearly ten years, Say ZuZu has been making some of the best independent roots rock in spite of their name.
Founded in 1992 by Jon and James Nolan and Cliff Murphy, Say ZuZu hadn't ventured far from their native Newmarket, North Hampshire when their first full-length release - 1995's Highway Signs and Driving Songs - propelled them to success and international touring status by way of Italy. Quickly followed by 1997's Take These Turns, Say Zuzu found themselves touring constantly throughout the eastern United States and in Europe.
Say ZuZu received critical success with the release of their 1998 CD, Bull. A live disc was recorded at the same time, and released the following year. In March 2001, with plans to record that summer, the quartet hit the road. The band then released their final studio CD, Every Mile. The band toured behind Every Mile. Shortly after a final tour of Europe in the fall of 2002 during which they recorded a live album, the band decided to call it quits.
