Daryl Braithwaite is an iconic Australian singer/songwriter and ARIA Hall Of Fame Inductee. As thefront man and vocalist for 1970’s band Sherbet, Braithwaite rode a wave of local and internationalsuccess with songs such as Howzat and Summer Love propelling the band the band to superstarstatus. Braithwaite went on to embark on a highly successful solo career which included a #1 ARIAAlbum Chart for his album Edge (1988) featuring the hit singles As The Days Go By and OneSummer. Braithwaite’s 1990 follow up album Rise included the single The Horses which reached#1 on the ARIA Singles Chart and to this day remains an anthem for generations of Australians. In2020, Braithwaite joined a host of local and international artists to perform at Fire Fight Australia,Concert For National Bushfire Relief in front of an audience in excess of 70,000 at Sydney’s ANZStadium.Support commences 2.45pm

I have seen Daryl a few times and he has never sounded better than at Sandstone Point on Saturday. The crowd were into it and once he got over the fact that his Greek drummer was popular, he was rockin' too. A great gig.

Daryl Braithwaite is an Australian pop singer who rose to fame in the successful 70s band Sherbet. He went on to have a number of massive solo hits in the late 1980s and early 1990s (including "One Summer" and "The Horses"). Daryl's "Rise" album became Australia's highest selling album of the year in 1991.
