SATURDAY NIGHT SHOW Doors 5 PM Show 7 PM Ages 14+ A1A—The Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show was born in 1991 when lead vocalist, guitarist, and keyboardist Jeff Pike invited drummer, harmonica player, and founder of the first Jimmy Buffett Parrot Head Club, Scott Nickerson to join Jeff's already successful one-man tribute to Jimmy Buffett. In 1992, the band won a Jimmy Buffett Sound Alike Contest for Margaritaville Records, bringing them to the attention of Jimmy Buffett and his organization. Starting in 1992, A1A was the first band to perform at and repeatedly headline the annual Jimmy Buffett 'Meeting of The Minds' Jimmy Buffett Parrot Head Convention and many other national landmark annual Parrot Head Events. These performances laid the foundation for the fundamental building and growth of the National Jimmy Buffett fan base, Parrot Head Club community, and the Trop Rock and Coastal Americana Music genres as they are today. In 1993, A1A was invited to appear in Jimmy Buffett's MTV Video, 'Fruitcakes.' In 1995, Jeff Pike performed with Jimmy Buffett and The Coral Reefer Band at Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta, Georgia. The show was recorded and released as "Jimmy Buffett's Barometer Soup Radio Special." This show and Jeff's performance still receive regular rotation on Jimmy Buffett's "Radio Margaritaville" on SiriusXM Radio. In 2012, Jimmy Buffett and his assistant, Mike Ramos, were instrumental in landing A1A in the Lions Gate Major Motion Picture Release, 'What to Expect When You're Expecting.' The band recorded Jimmy's classic, 'Why Don't We Get Drunk,' included in the movie and on the soundtrack released by Capitol Records. In 2016, A1A was honored to be requested to perform with Jimmy Buffett and Mac McAnally as their band in a private performance for State Dignitaries and some of Jimmy's personal friends at The Masters Open in Augusta, Georgia. A1A closed out 2016 at The Labor Day End of Summer Beach Bash for The Washington State Fair with Tim McGraw, Kid Rock, and Uncle Kracker. Today, the band's popularity continues to grow, and with Jimmy Buffett's devastating passing in September 2023, their mission, show, and presence are ever more critical. The energy, musicianship, originality, excitement, and continuous honest dedication to preserving Jimmy Buffet's legacy that has always surrounded a Jeff Pike and A1A performance are an experience and a driving force that has helped the band remain the first, foremost, and longest-running Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show in history.

What fans are saying

April 24th 2023
The band was great, venue perfect but it was very cold & damp. We had to sadly leave early. They started at 8pm, played one hour & took a 30 minute break. So….we didn’t get to enjoy much.

A1A Official Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band Biography

History Lesson, History Lesson

A1A – The Official and Original Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show was born in 1991 when Lead Vocalist and Guitarist, Jeff Pike asked Atlanta Parrot Head Club Founder, Scott Nickerson, to join him in his already successful one-person tribute to Jimmy Buffett. In 1992, the band won a Jimmy Buffett Sound Alike Contest for Margaritaville Records, and the A1A ball started rolling - a ball that is still rolling 28 years later. A few years later, in 1995, Jeff performed with Jimmy Buffett and The Coral Reefer Band at Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta, Georgia. The show was recorded and released as 'Jimmy Buffett's Barometer Soup Radio Special.' The show along with Jeff's performance still receives regular rotation on Jimmy Buffett's Radio Margaritaville and on SiriusXM Radio.

Over the years as the band grew A1A was extremely instrumental in the fundamental building and growth of the International Parrot Head Club community and Trop Rock Music genre as it is today. They were the first band to repeatedly headline the annual Jimmy Buffett 'Meeting of The Minds' Parrot Head Convention and many more landmark yearly Parrot Head Events. They have released 5 CDs, played to countless high-profile clients around the world, and continue to draw record crowds to their public performances. Members past and present from Jimmy Buffett's band, Greg 'Fingers' Taylor, Mac McAnally, Michael Utley, Robert Greenidge, Peter Mayer, Nadirah Shakoor, Amy Lee and Tina Gullickson, have all performed with the band over the years. In 2009 Nadirah Shakoor chose A1A to be her back up band to help promote her Mailboat Records Release,'Nod To The Story Teller' A1A was a part of Jimmy Buffett's MTV Video, 'Fruitcakes' and in 2012, Jimmy Buffett was instrumental in landing A1A in the Lions Gate Major Motion Picture Release, 'What to Expect When You're Expecting.' The band recorded Jimmy's classic, 'Why Don't We Get Drunk'; which was included in the movie and on the soundtrack released by Capitol Records. In April of 2016, Jimmy Buffett and Mac McAnally approached A1A with a request that they be Jimmy's band during a private performance at The Masters Open in Augusta, Georgia. Over Labor Day Weekend of that same year, A1A closed out The Labor Day End of Summer Beach Bash at The Washington State Fair with Tim McGraw, Kid Rock, and Uncle Kracker.

When attending an A1A performance, you can expect to hear all of your Jimmy Buffett favorites and more. You may also be treated to some classic Reggae as well as some original A1A Trop Rock music. The energy, musicianship, originality, and excitement that have always surrounded an A1A performance is an experience and a driving force that has helped the band remain the first and foremost Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show in history.
