One Word

---------------------------------- ONE WORD One Word began writing music together in 2007 as a three-piece. After playing a number of shows throughout the mid-south they recorded the demo for 2012 debut album "The Birth of Ikmik" before adding a fourth member and beginning the recording sessions for what would become the official release. They pulled a keyboard player out from under a bus and threw him on stage, which, after impressing the other members, solidified his place in the band. Five guys, One Word. They were the featured band in Metro Music's Summer 2009 issue after winning the MGM Booking regional talent search. After a short hiatus spent recording and writing new material for their sophomore album they are now making their way back into the Memphis scene in anticipation of their 2nd album release.
