THIS SHOW IS STRICTLY 18+Nick Batterham launches his 7th solo album The Sentimentalist (Cheersquad Records and Tapes) with a rare full-band performance.Batterham’s sentimentality becomes a strength to call on as he leans into the power of a lifetime spent looking back. From alt roots adjacent folk through to noisy guitar-driven and orchestral pop, The Sentimentalist is a carefully crafted exploration of love and hope that is all things heartworn, heart-warming and irresistibly relatable.A former member of 90’s indie faves The Earthmen, Batterham is also known for his work in film and television and for his contemporary classical soundtracks for installations by the celebrated visual artist Rone.Accompanying Nick will be Ben Wiesner on drums, Nick Murray on electric guitar and Jethro Woodward on bass and mandolin.Opening the show will be NSW via NYC songwriter Stephanie Cherote, in bare-bones acoustic mode.
