BARANS

BARANS is the cinematic, instrumental rock band of songwriter/guitarist Joe Barans and features a rotating cast of live musicians. Drawing from a sweeping range of influences, from film soundtracks to progressive rock, BARANS has crafted an authentic sound that defies any single, specific label.

The band’s core of guitar and drums is enhanced by cinematic instruments and electronic textures. This blend culminates in a sound that has been described as a unique combination of "melancholy and hopeful", "eerie and uplifting", and "driving and ethereal".

Their recent single, "Perspective" was featured on ALT AZ 93.3 as part of the Homegrown with Mo radio show and was highly reviewed by the established indie-blog Obscure Sound.
