Yoav Eshed Biography
The award-winning guitarist Yoav Eshed is an upcoming voice in the jazz guitar world. Winning annually the America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships for Jazz since 2008. Yoav won scholarships from the “New School” (NY) and won the ‘President’s scholarship’ from Berklee College Of Music. Received the Israeli government prize for original creation.Won a Yamaha guitar at the prestigious international Jazz competition in the United States –“Six String Theory” led by Lee Ritenour.
Won 1st Place Prize at the annual Jazz Competition of Rimon, Israel.
Won 3rd prize in the Montreux Jazz Festival Guitar Competition.
Yoav was invited to play at The Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, Athens Jazz Festival in Greece and Aix en Provence Festival in France to name a few. Yoav is working as a sideman for NYC finest jazz musicians as well as leading his trio ‘Trio Millionaires’ and septet ‘Greenpoint’ Endorsing D'angelico Guitars and Kirlin Cables.
