Found out about this gig and booked it for something to do whilst visiting Budapest. Feel really lucky to have seen Nubya and her band in such an amazing venue (sound was great and we sat right at front). Will be going to see them again when back in UK at some point for sure 😊

The New York Times, who featured Nubya in a full print and online profile feature, described SOURCE as “a life’s worth of experiences into an hour long listen.”

The network TV USA show ‘Entertainment Tonight, featured Nubya on-air during their Golden Globes special episode. Her original music was played and accompanied Jill Scott on CNN for their Juneteenth music TV special.

The Grammy Awards have profiled Nubya in a feature, titled “Meet Nubya Garcia, The Rising Star Taking The London Jazz Scene by Storm”.

In 2023, Garcia released the Amazon Original “Rude Boy/It’s Love,” an inspired mash-up of Prince Jammy and Lee “Scratch” Perry’s dub classic “Rude Boy”, and “It’s Love,” a deep cut from Jill Scott’s groundbreaking debut album. The single was later followed by the album release ‘Khruangbin & Nubya Garcia: Live At Radio City Music Hall’; and ‘Lean In’ her original single which pays affectionate tribute to the Garage scene that dominated the UK club scene throughout the late 1990s. Nubya Garcia recently released 'Fortify' in January 2024 and continues to tour worldwide.
