About this concert
The Oxted Sessions is delighted to be welcoming both Lachlan Bryan & The Wildes AND The Dimpker Brothers for a very special double headline bill! Lachlan Bryan and The Wildes may be familiar to an Oxted crowd, having opened for, and then backed, Alan Fletcher last year at The Barn Theatre. The band played a brilliant set, and ever since we've been asked when we might be able to bring them back... Well here we are! They are beloved Americana troubadours from just about as Deep South as you can get (Melbourne, Australia that is). They?ve been chronicling the human condition for over a decade now, showing up on main stages at festivals all over the world to tell stories of suburban struggles, whirlwind romances and roadside rendezvous?, releasing five critically acclaimed records along the way. ?Lachlan Bryan is one of the finest songwriters in the world today? No Depression The Dimpker Brothers hail from the woods of Hulta By in Småland, Sweden, and are one of the most exciting new acts on the global Americana scene today. They have toured/worked with Jerry Joseph and Our Man In The Field, and are perhaps best described by Rootsy Music: "Brothers Martin and Adam Dimpker... join a tradition that has deep roots within American music. Two brothers singing together creating a magical synthesis. Think of a present day Louvin Brothers or Everly Brothers - because the Dimpker blend of Americana and Pop is very much here and now and has nothing to do with nostalgia." Both bands will play full-length sets, with an interval in between.

Lachlan Bryan Biography

His songs are layered expressions of human frailties, hopes, and possibilities." - Sue Jarvis, Capital News "This is warm, REAL country music, with a kick!" - Sam Fell, Sydney Morning Herald “Bryan and band have a peculiar talent for engaging with the tropes and mores of the country/Americana tradition while imbuing their songs with pathos, sharp pop sensibilities, and a uniquely Australian outlook” - Gareth Hipwell, Country Update Facebook page for singer-songwriter Lachlan Bryan and his band The Wildes
