Social experiment #42 How can we simultaneously reward our current gig-goers as well as promote some alternative events here at Claptrap? Possible solution - THE GOLDEN TICKET - it's a £5 ticket, that buys entry to ALL events over the weekend! Will it work? Will we people be interested? Will more people come and check out summat they wouldn't normally, er check out? Or have I just wasted over an hour on Photoshop changing Wonka to Claptrap? Let's find out! This £5 ticket will be your pass to the following events: Friday 12th April 8pm-2am: Live Music with Grande Valise (funky synthpop, for fans of OMD/Hot Chip) + support from The Badnote Choir: A one man wall of sound with a looper pedal and rather dark sense of humour. Followed by feel-good alternative-electro bangers til 2am. Saturday 13th April 8pm-2am: Main Room: Boogie Wonderland - Soul, Funk & Disco Floorfillers. Upstairs (Room At The Top) 7:30pm-10pm: Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Preview Show with Harriet Dyer + Lindsay Santoro. Sunday 14th April Afternoon Spectacular 2pm-6pm: The Delray Rockets - Fuel Injected Rockabilly Sunday 14th April 7pm-11pm: Sunday Shenanigans: Open Mic From Outer Space! Local acts take to the stage, expect the unexpected. And probably a bit of the expected. Our open mic is always free entry, but if you have a golden ticket we will give you a pat on the head for being a lucky sausage. If you have already bought a ticket to one of the weekends events - Congratulations! Your ticket has automatically become a GOLDEN TICKET, so you can come to other events at no extra cost. As usual just show your ticket at the ticket office. As always, Claptrap is only a 120 capacity venue - when we're full - we're full. Arrive early (recommended before 11pm) to guarantee entry.
