What do you get when you mix the music of an iconic Tony award-winning composer from the Bronx with a Grammy award-winning singer, vocal arranger, producer from Brooklyn with a world renowned pianist, arranger, producer, music director from Fresh Meadows, Queens? You get an intensely personal and fresh homage to the great Cy Coleman starring Janis Siegel (The Manhattan Transfer) and Yaron Gershovsky (Music Director for The Manhattan Transfer) as they celebrate the release of their latest album "The Colors of My Life" on Club 44 Records! Both Siegel and Gershovsky had the great pleasure of working with Mr Coleman. Yaron was the vocal arranger for the Tony award-winning musical “City Of Angels” and Janis was part of a world class vocal ensemble singing new songs showcasing Cy’s final collaboration with Alan and Marilyn Bergman at The Kennedy Center. "The Colors of My Life" explores Cy's more well known repertoire as well as his hidden gems - delving deeply into Mr. Coleman’s jazz sensibilities and his wonderful lyrical partnerships.
