Ofelia’s folk instrumentation of close three part harmonies, strong rhythmic guitars, complex mandolin and solid bass focuses the variety of influences in the songwriting into exciting and honest modern folk songs. Their live performance is as intense as it is playful, and is amplified by the band’s youthful energy on stage. With Buzz Magazine Wales saying “With impeccable three-way vocal harmonies, a strong set of songs and a relaxed, playful manner on stage, they impress”. 2016 marked Ofelia’s first full year as a gigging band. Playing over 60 gigs up and down the UK, embarking on their first international show in Festival Interceltique de Lorient, France as well as featuring at Swn Festival and Hay Festival for BBC Horizons.
