After nearly a decade since their last album release, The Getaway Plan have emerged from the shadows to announce a highly anticipated national headline tour across Australia. This tour marks a significant moment for the band and their devoted fanbase as they prepare to unveil new material for the first time in nearly 10 years.The Getaway Plan first gained widespread recognition with their debut album, "Other Voices, Other Rooms," released in 2008. This album marked a milestone in the bands career, propelling them to commercial success. In 2011, they followed up with their sophomore album, titled "Requiem”, which saw the band travel to Canada to work with Grammy Award-winning producer David Bottrill (Tool, Muse, Smashing Pumpkins). Their most recent album, "Dark Horses”, released in 2015, was a self-funded and self-released effort that resonated strongly with fans, reaching number 10 on the ARIA charts, the bands highest ever debut.With a focus on intimate and small venues, The Getaway Plan aims to deliver a raw and authentic experience for their fans, and the band members are eager to road-test and share their new material in a personal setting.Support commences 9.30pm

The Getaway Plan Biography

The Getaway Plan is an alternative rock band based in Australia. The band formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 2003, currently comprising of vocalist/guitarist Matthew Wright, guitarist Clint Splattering, bassist Dave Anderson and drummer Aaron Barnett. Their debut release was a demo in 2004. In 2006 The Getaway Plan signed to Boomtown Records and made their debut release through a label, an EP titled Hold Conversation. They found commercial success upon the release of their debut studio album Other Voices, Other Rooms, in 2008. The album peaked at #1 on the Australian Independent Records (AIR) charts and #14 on the ARIA albums chart, spending four weeks in the ARIA top fifty.
