Du calme au tumultueux, Lo Moon peaufine son rock avec des touches impressionnistes et des interludes ambiants, ancrées par des crochets pop mélodiques, et des paroles intensément personnelles et douloureusement honnêtes. En 2016, le quatuor pysch-pop (Matt Lowell, Crisanta Baker, Sam Stewart et Sterling Laws) s’introduit au monde avec le fascinant single, “Loveless”. Un titre qui ouvrira la voie vers son premier album éponyme en 2018, une collection sombre et luxuriante de chansons pleines de rock crescendo et d’électro étincelante, puis son second album, “A Modern Life” en 2022. Après avoir passé les dernières années sur la route à soutenir des tournées pour The War On Drugs, Phoenix, Glass Animals, Air, London Grammar, Chvrches, Metric, Muna et The Lemon Twigs, le troisième album du groupe “I Wish You Way More Than Luck” est enfin dévoilé, autour d’une seule et unique idée fédératrice autour de la vie et les personnalités forgées à partir des moments révélateurs des étapes personnelles traversées. : “’I Wish You Way More Than Luck’ est un album sur le fait de laisser des choses derrière soi — la famille, les lieux, la jeunesse, les relations, le temps — et les traces qui subsistent dans l’esprit longtemps après que leur matérialité se soit éloignée”. Tout juste après la sortie de son nouvel album kaléidoscopique, “I Wish You Way More Than Luck”, Lo Moon annonce une date parisienne le 12 novembre 2024 au BADABOUM !

LO MOON Biography
Music is the universal language for a group of people who all come from vastly different corners of the earth. Lead singer Matt Lowell is from Long Island, Crisanta Baker (guitar, bass, keys) from Denver, Sam Stewart (guitar) from London and Sterling Laws (drums) from Anacortes, WA; Los Angeles was their eventual meeting place. It was Lowell who instigated Lo Moon before it even had a name. His mantra –if you like –for all the material was their first release “Loveless.”
Their self-titled debut album -a dark, luscious collection of songs full of crescendo rock and sparkling electronics -spanned the breadth of human highs and lows. Lauded for its ‘shimmering, immersive and otherworldly’ (NPR) qualities, Lo Moon received critical praise from the likes of The New York Times, Billboard, Vice, NME, The Sunday Times, DIY and many more. Elsewhere their songs hit the top 3 on the US AAA radio chart. During that period the band appeared on US late night TV shows Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late Late Show with James Corden and played more than 150 shows, headlining in North America and Europe, and supporting the likes of The War On Drugs, Phoenix, Glass Animals, Air, London Grammar, Chvrches, Metric and The Lemon Twigs along the way. Elsewhere, they capped off their touring with festival performances including Lollapalooza, All Points East in London and the New York Times named Lo Moon as one of the “top 10 performances at Governors Ball.”
